Georges Sarri

Georges Sari (Greek: Ζωρζ Σαρή) is the nom de plume of Georgia Sarivaxevani (born May 1925), a Greek author[1][2] and actress. Her mother was French and her father was Greek.

From an early age, she developed an interest in acting, and she started her acting career in 1962. She studied in Rodiri's Drama School and later she continued her studies in Paris in Charles Didlen's school.

She has written many books and in 1994 she won the Best Children Literature book award for her book Ninet (which was a semi-autobiography of her sister).

In 1995 and 1999 she was awarded with the Greek Cycle of Books. In 1988 she was nominated for the Hans Cristian Andersen Award. Furthermore, as an actress, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Thessaloniki Film Festival.
